About Julie

I absolutely Love Fitness!  I know that the feeling of being physically on top form brings so much confidence and ease to deal with the things that life throws us and I specialize in teaching others how to achieve this.  My ideal is to deliver personal coaching and classes where people come away feeling good about themselves.

The Regan Method Pilates Classes:  I help men and women over 40 to gain great posture, reducing back pain and relieving niggling aches and pains from tight over-used muscles, which improves their everyday energy levels. Using techniques I have learned from the top fitness professionals and from years of studying I have come up with the Regan Method, the perfect solution of innovative exercises and advice that actually works.

The Regan Method Fitness Pilates Classes:  I help women over 30 to fight the ageing process and retain their confidence and fitness levels.  I coach people on how to strengthen their centre, relearning the mind-body connection to recruit core muscles in the proper sequence.  I educate them to identify incorrect postural habits and how to correct them.  This improves muscle tone, strength and flexibility, building their confidence from within.

Personal Coaching:  I help women over 40 to improve their muscle tone, balance their hormones, drop any unwanted weight gain, improve their posture, making them feel confident about themselves and elevate their self-esteem.  After doing a full and in-depth postural assessment we work with precise but fun exercises with all the guess-work taken out making their goals so much easier to achieve.

Bootcamp:  I help men and women over 30 who are unhappy with their body to kick start their metabolism enabling them to burn off excess fat and to look and feel great.  I educate them on the importance of eating nutritionally balanced food, showing the easy way to sustain a healthy weight, balanced hormones and to be rid of any unwanted and unnecessary stress.  Some bootcampers want to lose a stone (or more) and others simply want to maintain their weight.  Both are completely and easily achievable by being consistent and having a great support team.

My Background

Because I never enjoyed gyms I always wanted to reach the people who were as likeminded as me.  I couldn’t bear the glam’d up stereotypical thong wearing gym types (this was a long time ago!).  I wanted to emulate the people in my early memories who just made fitness fun with no frills.  I have always marketed my classes and coaching sessions to people who are gym-shy.  Knowing there was always a market for people who didn’t want to join a yearly membership and just wanted to get fit.

I started out in the fitness industry in 1994 when aerobic classes were really swinging.  Over the years, I enhanced my fitness qualifications such as working with weights and different equipment, personal training and Pilates amongst others.  Adding to this, I have mentored by some of the top professionals in my field and continually study to keep my knowledge of how the human body works up to date.   Through my previous mentoring program, I came to realize that with many of my previous clients I had been guessing and not assessing their postural imbalances.  To address this I enrolled on Dax Moy’s Kinetic Chain Assessment (KCA) courses, which spurred me into updating my anatomy & physiology knowledge further and things started falling into place a lot more.

My class participants and clients alike both noticed that they were getting a much better service and I came to understand more about what is needed to achieve clients’ goals.  I explain the reasoning for each exercise far better than I ever could and am able to educate people in a clearer way allowing them to help themselves.

To date I have spent well over £20k on my fitness education and that figure keeps rising.

I want to work with clients to help them achieve a healthy and fit body in a totally holistic way. With the correct nutrition plan to balance their hormones, I can work with them to enhance their energy levels, weight and lack of motivation.  With goal setting I can probe deeper into their mindset, helping them improve on self-confidence.  With Pilates I can work to help them increase their muscle tone and shape and improve their respiratory system.

Class participants have been hugely helped by the more 3-D functional moves within the Regan Method Pilates classes rather than remaining floor based.  I constantly hear how they have tried Pilates before but have never really understood the fundamentals and found the classes boring.  Classes are all full – even throughout the summer months, which was previously a problem.

The Purpose of my Company and how I operate

The purpose of Pilates Fitness West Sussex is to teach solutions to get rid of postural distortions brought about by muscle imbalances.  This will dramatically change your ability to improve your fitness level, strengthening your joints, toning your muscles and boosting your confidence.  We create the perfect mind-body harmony by showing you solutions to improve your fitness, nutrition and life stresses using the Regan Method.

I promise that if you follow my Regan Method system your body will change shape, restoring balance and tone.  Sluggishness will be replaced with vitality using basic nutrition to boost your energy.  Everyday aches and pains will be banished by exercises to eliminate misalignment.  Stress levels will be reduced through the knowledge and understanding of how to address your hormonal balance.  Furthermore, the bonus by-product to all of this is that you will naturally lose inches – which will stay off.

I want my clients to talk about their experiences with the company and how they have achieved more confidence, de-stressed, achieve more fat loss and lost their aches and pains whilst having fun.

This is a picture of me in Thailand in March of this year hidden away in a luxury apartment to write a book about the successful systems I have been using to help hundreds of people improve their shape and gain amazing strength.

The Regan Method has come about through years of experience in the fitness world and is a combination of Pilates, nutrition and simple techniques to use on yourself, saving you time and money on therapists.

I pass on this knowledge, using a method that will get you to your goal of fat loss and rid you of many posture related problems, without you having to study for years as I have done, in search of the exact holistic formula to get you to your healthiest and fittest form possible.
